These Mirrors Speak to Me.

How splendiferous would the poem from the last post look on an antique gilt mirror?

I feel another DIY project coming on...

If you had a mirror like this, what would it say?

Well, Hello...Sexy! You don't look a day over 35...

That's what my mirror would say...hopefully!

When house hunting, we looked at the place of an aging music business veteran...who had a mirror in his foyer right at the bottom of the stairs...it said "Damn, I look good..." A little self affirmation as you come down for breakfast every morning...hilarious.

I really like the one with the script on it. That is a really fresh idea to me...are you going to go for it? Nice.

it would probably say something like,

"jenny, if you write on this fucking 5,000 dollar mirror i will poke your ass with my bone throbber later tonight...love mike-your husband".

I have a mirror in my front entry with the word SMILE. So its the last thing I see when I leave my house and,if I smile as directed I can make sure my lipstick is not on my teeth :) Now thats something to smile about. And when I return home I can again I smile because I'm home.
Love them...all
cheers

I'm crazy for this idea. In these two instances it's not corny @ all.
I would write a poem my husband gave to me this past V-Day;

Love For Love
Ithers seek they ken na what,
Features, carriage, and a' that;
Gie me love in her I court,
Love to love maks a' the sport.

Let love sparkle in her e'e;
Let her lo'e nae man but me;
That's the tocher-gude I prize,
There the luver's treasure lies.

By Robert Burns

A glorious weekend to you!

hi - thanks for the comment! I don't take the seagrass wall to wall because then it becomes permanent. this way - it's still an area rug, and if it gets damaged it's easily replaced. plus i like it as an area rug. i'm thinking i wish my own was bigger. i might increase it's size!
