Snowy Egret
Great Blue Heron
How beautiful are these Audubon prints? I got them from isellart2 on ebay for $65 each. They're giclee prints on beautiful French cotton rag watercolor paper in 22x30 size. They are available in various sizes and they are more beautiful in person.
In the pond behind us at the beach, there is a Snowy Egret habitat - they all swoosh in at dusk every day, about 20 of them. Very cool. A pair of blue herons also makes frequent appearances (I saw them today in fact; I am playing hooky at the beach ;-).

Thanks for the info! I live on a river and there are several nests of Great Blue Heron living here. I have been looking for some art like this.
amazingly enough, there's a heron rookery right near my house, just in the shadow of the ravens' stadium downtown.
These are beautiful! We have some gorgeous egrets around here and I have a special fondness for coastal birds. Thanks for the sweet comment and have a great day!
How funny that you'd post on these, I just had two of these (the blue heron and a pellican) matted to replace something we moved out of our bedroom. I haven't decided on frame moulding yet, let me know what you go with.
My framer has such contempt for giclee prints. I guess he's a purist or something. These look very precisely executed.
Beautiful! Where are they going?
These are really nice. A gorgeous set, indeed. Score!
i love these!!!!
i don't understand your comment on the Suellen post - all those pictures were sueellens except for the tole lamps!!!! is that what you meant? that was coleen rider.
Yes, Joni. I loved the last photos.
David: I haven't decided. I will go look today if it's not raining. I actually got them for Wilmington, not the beach! But I'm thinking bamboo or glossy burled wood with what matting, I have no idea yet. I tend to like grasscloth-looking mats or just white or light linen.
I am such a whore for vintage bird prints -- these are gorgeous!
Love the bamboo with grasscloth idea. Yummy texture.
What a fabulous find! Bravo.
Love the big bird prints! Thanks for sharing the source with us. Are you in Rehoboth?
love the bird prints!
