As reported by the eagle-eyed Habitually Chic and quotable Page Six, my favorite residential place in the whole world (okay, in the U.S.) is for sale. The white marble-clad, unbelievably fabulous residence of the chic-and-sadly-divorcing-but-already-happily-dating-others Janklow kids on West 12th Street in NYC between 5th and 6th Avenues is for sale.
If you have $25 million lying around, contact Brown Harris Stevens NYC or go here.

Looks like there's plenty of room for a well-mannered midwestern houseguest. I bring wonderful hostess gifts.
I love seeing the difference between magazine styling and real life. Great post, HG!
Drooling...all over our respective keyboards....

I know! It's such a shame I only have $23 million lying around.
David - I'll remember that. I'm thinking of starting a Ponzi scheme to raise some cash for it. Interested? Anybody?
This slayed me:
"Her dressing room was fashioned in Perspex and glass with pink silk carpeting and was inspired by Joan Crawford's in the movie Mommie Dearest."
WANTS!
One of my favorite lines was to the effect that they styled their place after Kris Kristofferson's character's house in the 70s remake of "A Star is Born." That endeared me right away.
And now I can visit it anytime. I love that about blogging.
It is a stunning home -- I love all the texture -- but certainly not as balls out fantastic when pictured by the realtor.
Still, I think I've got at least $25 mil in pocket change, so I'll let you know when I close the deal and you all can make plans for a visit.
Yay! I knew I could count on you, E. I'm going to start calling you E., like Elvis.
I want Vogue to come and style my house. *pout*
And I want to see the rest of the kitchen and a bathroom!! If anybody finds extra photos, please send to me. I will give you a prize.
Ohh better get on that!! Looks amazing - if only right?!
What a fabulous place! Thanks for sharing it with us!
