He reminds me of Hugh Hefner. I like his show but can't stand him off-camera.
At least Hugh Hefner would've had the good sense to wear a proper tux (with slippers :-).
Bill looks like a pimp. I think his g/f is a drag queen so that could explain it.

bill maher is not gay he is just a gigantic tool. i have actually met him in person and as much as i like his show and appreciate his view on religion and politics he, in person is a major dork. this might explain the leather tux.

I felt kind of sorry for him. His shameless self-promotion of his own documentary just seemed a bit pathetic to me--especially in THAT tux.
Maybe he could become a used car salesman who just happens to wear leather suits to work.

Bill Maher is such a crazy bird. Sometimes I want to hug him, other times I want to punch him the face.
Although, I don't think that would do any additional damage to the poor guy. I think he tries to make up for his, er, unconventional face by dressing like a flashy pimp. Distraction tactic.
Bill dresses and looks exactly like what he is. A pretentious middle aged man desperately trying to look cool while he's banging exotic dancers.
Is it really leather? Who even makes a leather tux? I thought it looked more like neoprene, like a wetsuit, which is still inexcusable.

God I love bill Maher. I podcast his show every week. However, a friend of mine met him at a party and had less stellar things to say about his personality. But hey, as long as I get listen to him through the distance of teh internet, I'm cool with it.
i thought he had a much younger girlfriend? who is this brunette girl that he is with at all events? i saw him with her at the golden globes. maybe she needs to give him some fashion tips!
