Anonymous said...: I watched big love's second episode with my hand on the remote so i could change it immediately if barb was handed bad news. i didn't want to worry about her all night and into the week. my son came in the room and asked "are you comfortable sitting like that?" and I lied and said I was watching a basketball game at the same time....i wouldn't make this up! p.s. barb got good news, yipee, i can watch next week and enjoy....life is good. kathi

Designers' Brew said...: Not a confession, more of a cranky complaint: after not swimming for a month, I got my ass handed to me at practice tonight. It's depressing; when I was last in shape, I was convinced I was doing something wrong because I hadn't magically morphed into Dara Torres overnight. The saddest thing I have seen was at the Elvis thing in the fall. There was this well-known Elvis impersonator - sorry, tribute artist - there and he also did a Tom Jones impression. It took so much effort for him to move like that I thought he might hurt himself. I felt sorry for him but the women went crazy. He said he does this Ladies Night thing where he does Elvis and Tom Jones and "the ladies love it." *insert eye roll here* But I'll bet they do.; January 26, 2009 at 8:22 AM
