Oh, Deer.


My two favorite omnipresent trends: Imperial Trellis and Deerheads*. {sigh}

I've loved them since long before they became a trend. Why is everything so overdone these days? I have a couple of theories but I'd like to hear yours.


*Yes, faux. And resin antlers.

I think it's the internet in general, and the rise in interest-based blogging specifically.

The sheer amount of information and images out there, and the ease and speed with which people can access it, mean trends are viewed by huge audiences almost instantly.

People see something, use it, photograph it, blog about it, and the cycle starts all over.
